FULL SCHEDULE (Pac-12.com)

SAN FRANCISCO – The Pac-12 Conference has announced weekly series and site designations for the league’s upcoming 2021 softball campaign.

The schedule reflects nine weekends of competition between Conference programs, with one open week for each team, set to begin March 19 and conclude May 15.

Teams will play a four-game series each weekend, with a doubleheader on the second day of each series. Only three of the four games will count toward the Conference standings, meaning each team will play a total of 32 games against league opponents, but only 24 will count toward the determining the Pac-12 champion.

The two single games and the first game of the doubleheader regardless of day will count as Conference games. If all four games are played, the second game on Day 2 of each series will be counted as a non-conference game. If only three contests are completed in total, they will all count as Conference games.

Pac-12 programs will also be permitted non-conference competitions beginning Feb. 11 and up to the traditional NCAA maximum of 56 total contests.

The announcement reflects the series being played and the home/away designations each weekend of the Pac-12 regular season; start times will be announced by schools, and all game dates and times are subject to change. Television details will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Pac-12 landed five teams in the 2021 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) preseason poll, including the top three spots to No. 1 UCLA, No. 2 WASHINGTON and No. 3 ARIZONA, along with No. 10 OREGON and No. 16 ARIZONA STATE. STANFORD and UTAH are also receiving votes. Historically, the Pac-12 has dominated collegiate softball, with its programs winning 24 of a possible 38 Women’s College World Series titles.

All softball competition will be conducted in accordance with the Pac-12 COVID-19 Medical Advisory Committee health and safety recommendations and guidelines, available at Pac-12.com/health.
